The Yellow Chilli: Great for Family Outings

A few days back, for my parents wedding anniversary, we headed towards The Yellow Chilli in Sector 18, Noida for a family dinner. My parents are vegetarians and rest of us strictly carnivores.

3So, for starters we ordered a portion each of Badami Subz Seekh, Karara Subz Roll and  Tangra Chilli Paneer. All the starters were innovative in their presentation and at the same time tasty. The Badami Subz Seekh, to my surprise, had raw banana, carrot, cauliflower and mixed spices rolled into a kebab coated with slivers of almonds. The Karara Subz Roll were crispy spring rolls with crunchy vegetables in tamarind, chilli and garlic sauce. The Tangra Chilli Paneer wastypical Kolkata-inspired dish with Chinese accent.

For the main course we ordered a Murgh Rara, Dal Tadka Dhaba, Garha Dum Ke Aloo, Amchi Mumbai Rustami Biryani, Butter Naan, Roti and Steam Rice. The Parsi biryani had succulent pieces of mutton which was truly Mumbai-inspired and close to the authentic Parsi roots.

For dessert, we ordered Kesar Kulfi with Rabri, quite sinful, but high on flavours.

14The decor and service of this restaurant is quite decent and I wouldn’t mind visiting this restaurant again.
