I recently had lunch at Moet’s Oh! Bao. This restaurant is only a few weeks old and is located in the Defence Colony Main Market (New Delhi).
My order was Veg Pad Thai Noodles, Pad Ka-Prao Kai and Wine and Chilly Prawns.
The Wine and Chilly Prawns were medium sized prawns tossed with burnt vhilly and a dash of wine. A few specs of burnt garlic and chopped chives sprinkled on top of this dish elevated the experience of savouring this dish. I thought the gravy was a little thick. They could have avoided the excess cornflour or used another clear thickening agent for the gravy.
The Pad Ka-Prao had chicken mince cooked with Thai spices and Tobanjan sauce, making this dish a mildly hot.
The Veg Pad Thai Noodles also were cooked to perfection with a good selection of vegetables and garnished with crunchy peanuts. All these dishes were served with three different flavoured sauces. My favourite was the spicy bean sauce.
Unfortunately, since I was alone, I could not finish the food. The quantity of each dish were enough for two people.
Though the restaurant is rather narrow, the interior in white, turquoise and brown accent makes this place lively and interesting. Also, the furniture in this restaurant made of salvaged wood gives it a casual and homely feel.
The service was excellent. This Pan-Asian restaurant certainly deserves multiple visits for its contemporary cuisine and it is a 4.5/5 from me!
